International experiencie

An international approach

The international programme of the Faculty of Law offers its students the possibility of a stay abroad at an international university.

Student mobility is carried out through inter-university cooperation programmes, promoted and driven by the Socrates-Erasmus programme of the European Union, or any of the bilateral agreements signed with international universities.

Outgoing mobility

The international programme is run by the University of Deusto for students who meet the following requirements:

  • Being an official student of the Faculty of Law
  • Having successfully completed at least the first year of study at the University of Deusto.
  • Having a good academic record and a good level in foreign languages.
  • Those candidates who have more than twelve credits pending at the time of selection are not allowed to take part in the exchange programme.
  • Being a citizen of a EU member state.

Undergraduate student mobility

There are many reasons to decide to carry out a study or an internship mobility stay:

  • Improving your communication skills in the language of the region, while gaining insight into the intercultural competence.
  • Enhancing social skills
  • Gaining different and complementary perspectives to those received at the University of Deusto
  • The internationalisation and integration in multicultural and multilingual teams is a key factor for future professionals.
  • It is a very positive and distinctive feature in a student's curriculum.

Postgraduate student mobility

Mobility provides students with academic and personal enrichment.

The Erasmus + programme enables students enrolled in a degree programme leading to obtaining a postgraduate degree to stay abroad in a higher education institution and have full recognition of their studies.

Students who are studying an official master's degree at the University of Deusto and who are interested in taking part in an international mobility stay within the Erasmus+ programme, must contact the academic coordinator of their master’s to see the possibilities available: host destinations for mobility stays, mobility period, student workload at the host destination, etc.

The academic coordinator will inform the International Relations Office about the students who will be taking part in a mobility scheme to contact them so that they can start all the administrative procedures related to the mobility period.
