    María Pilar Canedo ArrillagaJean Monnet Chair Holder and lecturer in International Public Law.

     

    María Pilar Canedo is President of the Basque Competition Authority and has a degree in Law, DEA, Master’s and PhD degrees in Law from the University of Deusto. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. She lectures on the BA in Law and the Official Master’s in Legal Research (Deusto, ICADE, ESADE), the Official Master’s in Port and Maritime Business Management and Maritime Law and the European Master’s in Transnational Trade Law and Finance, International Private Law and Social Law and International Contracts.

    Luis Ignacio Gordillo Pérezcoordinator of the chair activities and lecturer in Constitutional Law. Luis Ignacio Gordillo holds a BA in Law, DEA in Constitutional Law and PhD in Law from the University of Deusto. He lectures on the BA in Law and the combined programme in Law and Business Management, as well as on the Official Master’s in Legal Research (Deusto, ICADE, ESADE), the Official Master’s in Port and Maritime Business Management and Maritime Law and on the PhD programme in Transnational Trade Law. He has been a guest lecturer in several Spanish (IE, Nebrija, Salamanca, Sevilla, UNED) and international (Tours-France, Cardozo Law School-New York) universities and visiting researcher at the European University Institute in Florence (Italy).
    Naiara Arriola Echániz, lecturer in Constitutional Law. Naiara Arriola holds a BA in Law from the University of Deusto, and obtained a sobresaliente mark. She lectures on Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Deusto. She also holds a Specialism in Public Law (University of Deusto), a Specialism in Economics (University of Deusto) and a PhD in Law and Justice from this same University. In the field of research, she has taken part in the World Trade Organisation and the ATLAS Programme (Association of Transnational Law Schools) for several years; she has also participated in the Agora programme in Research Staff Training, focused on the development of methodological aspects for the development of a PhD thesis in the field of Transnational Law and Global Administrative Law.
    Carlos Llorente Gómez de Seguralecturer in Commercial Law. Carlos Llorente holds a BA and PhD in Law from the University of Navarre, and received a special PhD Award. He also obtained a LL.M. with Honours at Columbia University in New York. He is currently a lecturer (PhD) at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. He lectures on the BAs in Law and Law and Business Management, and on the Master's degrees in Legal Research and Port and Maritime Business Management and Maritime Law.
    José Ramón Canedo Arrillagalecturer in European Union Law. José Ramón Canedo holds a BA in Law from the University of Deusto and a DEA from the University of Nancy. He is a lecturer at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. He lectures on the BA in Law and the Official Master’s in Legal Research (Deusto, ICADE, ESADE), the Official Master’s in Port and Maritime Business Management and Maritime Law, and on the European Master’s in Transnational Trade Law and Finance. More specifically, he teaches European Union Law and International Public Law on the BA in Law. He has been a guest lecturer in several Spanish (Seville, UNED) and international (San Francisco-USA) universities. He has published on European Union Law and has been working in fields related to Global Administrative Law for the past few years. He is a member of the Public Power and Business in a multi-level transnational context research team. Other areas of research interest include International Public Law and teaching innovation in Law studies.
